BookWanders works because neighbours trust each other enough to meet up and hand over a book. A few simple habits keep that trust intact.
Meet somewhere public
Choose a spot like a café, library, or park bench — somewhere with other people around. Agree the time and place with the other person in the app before you meet, so there are no surprises on either side.
Treat the book as someone else's property
A borrowed book still belongs to the person who lent it. Take care of it, and return it when you said you would. If something comes up and you can't return it on time, say so — a quick message goes a long way.
Be honest about condition
Describe a book's condition accurately when you list it, and mention anything a borrower would want to know — a torn cover, notes in the margins, a missing page.
If something goes wrong
If someone doesn't show up, treats you badly, or a book doesn't come back, you can report or block them in the app. We look into every report.
